The relations of Singapore and Portugal continue to grow from strength to strength with active collaborations with one another over the years. To celebrate and foster the strong ties between Singapore and Portugal, Singapore Post and Portugal Post jointly release the Singapore-Portugal joint stamp issue. Featuring in this stamp issue are the artistic impressions of Gardens by the Bay and Lisbon.

Gardens by the Bay is a national garden and premier horticultural attraction well-loved by local and international visitors alike. It a showpiece of horticulture and garden artistry. The Gardens presents a whole new experience of the plant kingdom, entertaining and educating visitors with plants seldom seen in this part of the world, ranging from species in cool, temperate climates to tropical forests and habitats.

Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, is a historical city full of legends to tell, with lots of sunshine and an incredible blue sky. It is a city by the sea, and is one of the world’s oldest cities where old customs and ancient history intermix with cultural entertainment and hi-tech innovation.
