Photos are expressions of the developments and happenings around us. Rare moments and memories are always captured on photos to allow that point of time to be brought into the future and onto the memory lanes, as well as to show what Singapore has become through the years.
In this stamp issue, 5 Cultural Medallion recipients for photography, Mr David Tay (1982), Mr Tan Lip Seng (1985), Mr Chua Soo Bin (1988), Mr Foo Tee Jun (1989), and Mr Teo Bee Yen (2004) are specially reproduced. All 5 gentlemen have made a mark on arts development and played an instrumental role in weaving the tapestry of nationhood.
